Like you Connie and I are both parents and understand the difficult choices and decisions that we make for the best of our children, we hope that our parental insight might help us ease your minds as your children settle into pre-school.
I have worked with children for over 26 years and hold a level 5 foundation degree in childhood studies from the University of Winchester, as well as a CACHE NNEB diploma. 
I am the setting Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) completing my NCFE Cache Level 3 award for SENCO in early years settings. I  will help to support any children with additional needs as well as liase with other agencies when needed to ensure your child has a smooth journey through pre-school into school.

Helen works daily from 9am-3pm.

Connie Bryson

Owner/Manager
Level 3 NVQ
Safeguarding Lead

I have over 17 years of childcare experience and hold an NVQ level 3, I have run my own childminding service for several years giving me lots of additional experience in running my own business. I hold First aid, Food Hygiene and safeguarding certificates and will be the safeguard lead within the setting, ensuring your children are kept safe and liaising with you about any concerns.
I love to encourage and support the children in developing their interests scaffolding their play to enhance their learning and development.

Connie works daily from 9am till 3pm.

Danielle Williams 

Nursery Practitioner 

Level 3 NVQ 

Danielle has been part of the Acorns family for 9 years and is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner. During her time at the nursery, she has built strong relationships with the children and their families and is passionate about creating a warm, caring and fun environment where every child feels valued and supported.

 

Danielle is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and flourish.

 

Danielle particularly enjoys watching the children grow in confidence, develop new skills and celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small. She loves getting involved in creative activities, messy play and outdoor learning, helping children to learn through play while making every day enjoyable.

 

Seeing the children’s smiles and knowing she has made a positive difference to their day is what Danielle loves most about working in early years.

James Burridge 

Nursery Practitioner 
Level 3

James has worked at Acorns Nursery for 20 years. His interests are music, Disney, musical theatre and spending time with his family and friends.

 

He is a NVQ level 3 practitioner with Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications.James enjoys seeing the children learn and develop through play and group activities and loves to help the children progress through their developmental stages.

He enjoys hearing the children's stories of their adventures outside of nursery, exploring their interests and seeing them achieve their goals, sharing laughs and smiles with them along the way.

 

James has a calm and caring nature and is both supportive to the children, parents and colleagues to enhance strong relationships.
