Tiny Steps Pre-school Team
Like you Connie and I are both parents and understand the difficult choices and decisions that we make for the best of our children, we hope that our parental insight might help us ease your minds as your children settle into pre-school.
I have worked with children for over 20 years and hold a level 5 foundation degree in childhood studies from the University of Winchester, as well as a CACHE NNEB diploma.
I am the setting Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and will help to support any children with additional needs as well as liase wih other agencies when needed to ensure your child has a smooth journey through pre-school into school.
I have over 12 years of childcare experience and hold an NVQ level 3, I have run my own childminding service for several years giving me lots of additional experience in running my own business. I hold First aid, Food Hygiene and safeguarding certificates and will be the safeguard lead within the setting, ensuring your children are kept safe and liaising with you about any concerns.
I love to encourage and support the children in developing their interests scaffolding their play to enhance their learning and development.
Chelsea is a level 2 qualified member of staff, she works Tuesday to Friday and is currently training to complete her level 3 in childcare. Chelsea really enjoys the craft area and will often be seen getting messy with paint, water and lots of exciting new play ideas! She is also famous for her wide variety of creative tuff trays!
Karen is a level 3 qualified practitioner who has worked with young children for over 9 years. Karen works Monday to Friday 9-3 pm Tuesday and Thursday. She has 2 children of her own a teenager and one who is preschool age. She particularly enjoys developing children's interests and helping them to learn new skills "Everyday is worthwhile, it's lovely just to be able to make them smile and happy."
Francesca is a level 3 qualified practitioner. She has been working with children for 5 years now and particularly enjoys being outside in the garden and watching the children investigate and engage with a wide variety of opportunities enhanced by their interests. Francesca also leads our preschool language group, this is a chance to help children in a small group further develop their language skills among their peers.
Sarah is a level 2 qualified practitioner who has worked with children for 5 years and loves that each day is different and you never know what the day might bring! Sarah works Tuesday to Friday and is now training to complete her level 3! Sarah has 3 children of her own who keep her busy too!
Sarah is often found in the book corner and loves supporting children's interest through stories, songs and exciting puppet shows.
